The Problem Solver Program

When your dog is struggling with serious behavioral concerns, it doesn’t just stay in the background…it actively impacts your family’s day-to-day life. Problem Solver programs are designed for people who are dealing with complex challenges that go beyond basic obedience or minor puppy or new-dog mischief. We know how stressful and isolating these kinds of problems can feel, and as your trainer our goal is to help you safely and effectively resolve these issues, rebuild trust and restore peace of mind in your home.

What We'll Focus on Together

Every dog’s triggers and thresholds are unique, so every training journey is custom-built. When we step into your home or meet you on location, the curriculum is adapted entirely to your dog's specific behavioral history and your family dynamics. Based on what we discuss on our introductory call, your custom program will likely focus on:

  • Leash Reactivity / Leash Aggression: Addressing leash reactivity and leash aggression to make your daily walks safer, more wholesome and effective…and far less stressful.
  • Reactivity / Aggressive Displays around other people: Whether they are guests, neighbors, family members, etc…we can work on helping your dog learn how to make better decisions in certain contexts, while also helping you learn when and how to advocate for your dog.
  • In-Home Safety & Harmony: Resolving unsafe behaviors in the home, including resource guarding, navigating safety around children, or intervening when dogs are fighting within the same household.
  • Deeply-Rooted Fears: Helping dogs feel safer in their various environments and contexts through careful, confidence-building techniques, de-escalation protocols, acknowledgement of your dog’s body language and learning how to adapt to situations so as to advocate for them.
  • Complex Behavioral Management: Providing expert, structured protocols and ongoing support for dogs exhibiting extreme safety concerns or those with a documented bite history.
