I’m always on the lookout for local services and small businesses that genuinely make dog-care easier for both the pup and the owner, and Haus of Hounds is one of those local services that I’m happy to recommend. Jamie, the groomer there, is wonderful! It may seem simple, but anytime we pass each other, locally, while driving down the road in or around Frederick..she sees my Confetti Dogs vehicle and I see her Haus of Hounds vehicle and we always get a quick wave in! Their mobile-stylist setup means the grooming happens where you are, which removes the stress of car rides and unfamiliar surroundings. For our Confetti Dogs clients—especially the dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed—this kind of service aligns nicely with our training-first mindset and different creative ways to advocate for your dogs.

What I love most about Haus of Hounds is how they emphasize a calm, gentle experience. On their Facebook page they describe their goal as “bringing the spaw to you… with a focus on a calm and stress-free experience for your fur babies.”
